Final test reponsibilities

Here are the groups and responsibilities for the final test on Wednesday of Finals week from 10:15-12:10 am. If you missed class today, the present students chose to make an authentic assessment-type examination. You will work on it over the weekend and present the results on Wednesday during final exam time. We will hand out the assignments/rubrics on Friday, so please plan on attending. Also, don't forget the philosophy of education and your revised autobiographies (if applicable) are due on Friday--no exceptions because I want to be able to read them over the weekend and give written feedback to you by the final Wednesday.

Choose demonstration, and follow the instructions, until you get to the page where you can choose the type of tests you want to do. Choose the Race IAT and complete that. Note your score when you are done. Then, take another IAT of your choosing.

Hi all,

Since there has been some confusion about who gives a current event on a certain day, I wrote the intial of the person, or people, scheduled to give a current event. Look in the last column of the class schedule on the course syllabus: http://justus.randolph.name/edu101

When you give your current event, you will also need to hand in to me a short write up consisting of a one-paragraph summary of the sources and a paragraph about remaining questions you have or things that you found interesting. Be sure to quote the source of your current event.

I have created a feedreader of current events if it helps you. Look on the Current Events in Education box on the right hand side of this blog.

On test day, Wednesday, September 24th, I will choose two questions randomly from each of the groups of questions below. You will have to choose one question from each group to answer. Like I mentioned earlier, the test questions come directly from the objectives at the beginning of each chapter.

Chapter 3 test questions:

1. Compare (and contrast) the metaphysics of idealism, realism, neo-Thomism, pragmatism, and existentialism.
2. Compare (and contrast) the epistemology of idealism, realism, neo-Thomism, pragmatism, and existentialism.
3. Compare (and contrast) the axiology of idealism, realism, net-Thomism, pragmatism, and existentialism.
